We all know and can agree that this year is like no other that we have lived through before. While I know each person’s, circumstance is different and we have all had our struggles, I am going to speak specifically to us Momma’s. No matter what season of motherhood you are in this year has been exceptionally hard. While we are entering the holiday season and still uncertain of what the future brings and when this pandemic will end, I just want to encourage you to stay in this fight! In Galatians 6:9 we are told, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” So, ladies do not stop now! Now is not the time to give up or slow down in all that you are doing. I know you are tired, and this is when the devil is going to try and attack when you are worn out and feel like giving up. Whatever that may look like, do not stop praying with your kids and reading the Bible with them. Do not stop praying for your prodigal son or daughter to return to the Father’s heart! Right now is the time to dig deep within your heart and remind yourself of the God that you serve and all that He has already done and all that He promises to do for you in the future! I am reminded that the days are long, but the years are short, and with each passing day we will not get back what happened yesterday. Take heart that each seed you are planting into your children weather it be a bible story, a praise party or a prayer over them that scripture tells us to not become weary or tired of doing those things, because just when that child of yours needs God the most those things will rise up in their spirit and be their for them to get them through whatever season they may be in! We are able to take captive any thought or feeling that is going on in our hearts and minds because we know that God will not leave us where we are now. In 1 Peter 5:10 we read, “And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” While this past year has tested each one of us look to this scripture and be grateful that as you hang on and cling to the word of God, He tells that He HIMSELF will restore us!!!! Think of all the endless dishes, and cooking, and time with your kiddos; when you are at your ‘wits end’ God is going to restore you and everything you have been putting out, He is ready to put back into you and MORE!!! Our God loves you and cares for you! He sees all the energy being exerted to keep it together for yourself, your family, your lost loved ones, your longing and crying out prayers for your people!!! Just as God heard Esther cry out for her people and saved the Jews. God hears you crying out for lost parents, lost siblings, lost children that are being tossed to and fromby the waves. He wants you to know, that you are on the cusp of your breakthrough in Christ Jesus!! Hold on to this scripture “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of the world, against spiritual wickedness.” Ephesians 6:12 We must know and recognize that our enemy is not our husband, our kids, or any actual situation we are facing. The true battle is a spiritual battle, and we can take heart because though their may be a real weapon formed against us, through Christ alone we already have our victory!!! To sum it up do not give up on the battle you are walking through every single battle has to bow to the name of Jesus!! Depression you must bow! Cancer you must bow! Lost children come home! Divorce you must bow! Disunity you must bow! Nothing no matter how big and no matter how small has no authority over what our God can do!!!
I want to close by asking you, have you felt lost? Have you felt without hope? Not sure what this is we are talking about today, but want to have a God in your life that can restore any heartache or pain you have been feeling in your life? Are you searching for something missing in your life and not sure what it is? If you would like to invite Jesus to live on the inside of you and allow you to have eternal life with Him and to have the peace that comes with it please read this prayer out loud, and write us a message to let us know you made that decision we would love to be praying with you!!
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come to you today and ask you to forgive me for my sins. I confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is your son, and that He died on the cross for me! That I may be forgiven and have everlasting life in heaven! Thank you, father, that Jesus rose from the dead, and I ask that right now you come into my life and be my personal Lord and savior! I repent of my sins and will live for you all the days of my life! Thank you, Father, for allowing me to be born again!
In the Name of Jesus, AMEN!!
